It was such a joy capturing Madalynn and Aaron’s spring engagement session at the Dallas Arboretum! From the moment we arrived on that slightly chilly, overcast morning, I knew we were in for something special!! Even though the skies were gray and the winter air still lingered, the love between these two lit everything up—just like springtime in full bloom 🌸

A Vision of Spring

Madalynn dreamed of a session that felt like spring!! She had her heart set on flowers, and the Arboretum offered just enough early blooms to bring that vision to life. The Dallas Arboretum is truly one of my favorite engagement locations, especially during the winter months. It’s maintained and manicured throughout the year to provide lush greenery and florals for all occasions!

Although the day started off gloomy and cool, you’d never know it by looking at them. Madalynn and Aaron truly embraced every moment. The way they smiled at each other, laughed together, and gently held hands made it feel like the sun was shining just for them ☀️. Their joy was so contagious, it truly warmed the entire session!! It’s rare to see a couple so in tune, so at ease, and so genuinely happy in each other’s presence. My favorite part? The way they laughed! Real, wholehearted, can’t-stop-smiling laughter!

A Rainy (But Romantic) Proposal in Cape Cod

Their love story is just as sweet as their session! Last July, Madalynn and Aaron took a trip to Cape Cod. Madalynn had always dreamed of getting engaged on the beach, so she had a feeling something special might happen 🏖️.

Aaron originally planned a romantic day filled with a bike ride along the coast, visits to the gardens, dinner, and a sunset at a lighthouse—where he would propose! But sometimes, plans change. It poured during their bike ride, leaving them completely soaked.. Exhausted, they called it a night and skipped the grand moment.. for now!

However, the next day brought a second chance. After hinting at wanting a romantic evening, Madalynn and Aaron grabbed takeout and headed to the beach for a quiet picnic. It was the most beautiful night—and that’s when Aaron got down on one knee 💕. Intimate, spontaneous, and perfectly them!!

Looking Ahead to “I Do” at The Grand Ivory

Madalynn and Aaron tied the knot on July 5, 2024 at The Grand Ivory, one of North Texas’ most timeless venues!! Their wedding day was filled with the same love, grace, and peaceful excitement they brought to their engagement session. I can’t wait to share their special day and all of the sweet moments we captured!
