Shaely and Ethan’s wedding at The Barn at Paradise Place was the perfect blend of beauty and heart — and I’m still smiling thinking about it!
From the moment I arrived, I could tell this day was going to be special. The venue felt light, fresh, and elegant while still giving everyone space to truly enjoy the celebration. After photographing Shaely’s bridal session at this same venue, I was even more excited to return and work with an incredible team to capture and preserve this amazing day!
Before we dive into the day, can we talk about their proposal?! While on a spontaneous girls’ trip to Port Aransas, Shaely thought she was just headed to a casual dinner at her aunt’s house in Rockport. Little did she know, Ethan had transformed the dock with candles, string lights, and a rose in hand. It was beautifully intimate, and when she realized what was happening, the joy was overwhelming!
October 24, 2024, brought us bright skies, wind-swept moments, and the kind of crisp fall heat that’s a rare gift in Texas. The clean green and white palette with lots of fresh greenery felt timeless and tailored to their style.
One of the most moving parts of the day? Their first touch! Ethan was so anxious in the groom’s suite, and we decided to move the moment up — and I’m so glad we did. The second he held Shaely’s hand, his whole demeanor shifted. That instant calm was a true testament to how deeply grounded their connection is.
Their vows were emotional and sincere (you can hear them in their highlight video!), and Ethan’s tear-streaked cheeks during the ceremony nearly had me crying. His love was so evident — he was already tearing up before she even walked down the aisle!
We had limited time and space for portraits, but oh my goodness — the sunset portraits were everything. Especially the ones in front of the chapel! Glowy, romantic, and filled with that just-married joy. Another favorite? The first look with Shaely’s dad — it was tender and full of love.
Later in the evening, Shaely surprised her mom with a bouquet dedication, and there wasn’t a dry eye around. It was such a personal and thoughtful moment. Even though it was a relaxed night overall, she stayed in the center of it all, dancing and soaking up every second.
They ended the evening with a sparkler exit that felt like the perfect fairytale send-off! Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Cooper!! Enjoy my favorites from their session below!
